- gc/ac = ganglion cell, amacrine cell
- m/b/t = monostratified, bistratified, tristratified
- a = asymmetric | asymmetic dendritic arbor
- r/d = regular or diffused | diffuseness of dendritic densities
- n/w = narrow or wide | expansiveness of dendritic arbor
- s/t = short or tall | breadth of dendritic densities (depthwise)
- o/f = ON or OFF | stratification layer of dendrites in IPL
- 1-10 = depth in retina | layer dendrites stratify in (10 is closest to GCL)
